69 homes are listed on this site today, with asking rents from €880–€6,000 per month. The largest concentrations are in Mosta, Sliema, Attard, St. Julians, St. Paul's Bay. Stock moves daily, so check the live search for what is available this week.
Across the homes listed here, monthly rents run €880–€6,000 per month. Studios and one-bedroom flats inland sit at the lower end; seafront apartments in Sliema and St Julian's and family villas sit at the top. Rents are quoted per month and normally exclude utilities.
Long lets in Malta run for a minimum of six months, with twelve months the standard residential contract. Anything shorter is treated as a short let and priced differently. Contracts must be registered with the Housing Authority.
Normally one month's rent in advance plus a deposit of one month, released after the final inspection. On long lets the agency fee is charged to the landlord, not the tenant. Utilities, internet and condominium charges are usually additional.
Yes. There is no restriction on foreigners renting in Malta. Landlords normally ask for identification, proof of income or an employment letter, and the deposit. A registered lease is also what most employers and banks accept as proof of address.
Sliema, Gzira, St Julian's and Msida suit professionals who want to walk to work and the seafront. Naxxar, Mosta, Attard and Birkirkara suit families wanting space and schools. Marsaskala, Zurrieq and Gozo are the value end, with more space per euro and a quieter pace.
